All of us together continued travel by islands. Sun was shining so brightly that hurt the eyes. The heat was inconceivable. We looked for a spring with cold water to satisfy our intolerable thirst. At night I had an improbable dream. As if I sit on the rock and hear my groans:

"Drink, give me drink! Well, somebody, give me to drink! I die. Please, give me some water!"

And suddenly there is a Woman-Giantess, more precisely - the rock on which I sat comes to life and turns into the woman. I nearly fossilized from horror. And she takes me on the palm, lifts very high and looks. I hid the face in my hands. She says:

- “Don't hide your eyes. Show me your face. Why do you hiding from me?”

- “But who are you?”

And I opened my face. My God, she had only one eye! I thought to myself:

“That's it, I am lost. She is a Woman-Syclops. Now she will eat me!”

- “Why are you afraid? What, you don't recognize me? I am - you!”

I nearly threw up:

“My God, am I really such a monster? Then better for me not to live in this world!”

From realization of my ugliness the fear to this vast object passed. I began to study her with curiosity. You know, she even began to be pleasant to me. Only one eye, so what - not only that can happen if you live being guided only by feelings. But I was ashamed and thought:

“What if somebody from the team will see me. They will run up in different directions!”

And the Woman-Syclops answered:

- “Don't be afraid. WHO LOVES, WILL REMAIN. Listen to me. I will tell you about fearlessness. Listen attentively and don't be frightened.”
